Every testimony I have ever heard up until this point have been quite dramatic, "I was lost...I was a drug addict...I was in an abusive relationship...I was diagnosed with an incurable disease..etc., etc." All of which are amazing to see how their walk with God has changed their lives.
Today I attended a church service that had a guest speaker by the name of Greg Laurie. He spoke about the importance of sharing the Gospel...something that I have heard several times before, the who, the how, the when. The part that really caught my attention, though, was when he was talking about sharing your testimony. My testimony is quite boring in comparison to the ones that I have heard in the past. Greg Laurie said that your testimony doesn't have to be some huge dramatic soap opera type thing detailing the trials you have endured in your lifetime. Your testimony should not focus on what you gave up for Him, but what He gave up for you and me and everyone.
