As my friend Olivia so eloquently stated, the theme for this Vegas weekend was Gluttony and Sloth. No only did we veg out most of the weekend, but we almost completely avoided veggies the entire weekend...unless you count tater tots, potato chips, and french fries as veggies..
Last Thursday afternoon, around 2:30 or so, Christine, Olivia, and I left for Vegas. After making a few pit stops at the grocery store and Sonic, we finally arrived at the house to just in time to watch Gray's Anatomy. I love that show, seriously! Afterwards, we started off our final season of Alias and pigged out on tots.
Friday we ate chips and dip for breakfast, followed by oreos and milk, and then cake and ice cream. We watched a few more episodes of Alias. After an afternoon nap, we got all pretty and went to the Bellagio for dinner at FIX. I had a pineapple mojito, it was delicious. So we drank a little and made an entire meal out of various appetizers. yum-o. As we ate, we did some people watching. Most of the time it was one of use going, "Is he somebody? Or how about him?". Yeah, I don't follow basketball and had no idea. After dinner, while waiting for our driver to sober up, we gambled a little. I won $12.50 on the slots. hee hee. On our way home we stopped by Sonics, only to realize that the one we went to was only "open until at least midnight" and it was 11:58. In any case, they let us go through the drive through, even though all the lights were off on the menu.
Saturday we had planned to go to the Mandalay Bay buffet. I don't think I'm meant to ever eat there, every time I tried to go there something happens to prevent it. This was no different. It was KA-RAZY over there. After driving around the parking structure we decided to just have brunch at the Wynn Buffet. It was delicious and we all over ate. I don't know why their bagels are so good. We gambled a little bit more, I lost $25 on video poker. We visited one of O's friends before we headed back to the house to finished up Alias.
After another nap, we finally headed for home around 1 am, made a quick meal stop at In-N-Out (more fries) and then made it home by 4:30. It is so worth driving to and from Vegas in the middle of the night. There is less traffic and you don't realize that you are driving through no-man's land because it's so dark.
Yesterday I went to the gym to work off all the junk I ate over the weekend. I seriously think I gained 10 lbs. Gross! I've been so good lately too (was down 13 lbs since Thanksgiving).
