Adventures of Rusty and Breezy: Eyes Glazed Over

Just a normal Monday evening. Someone just out-rambled Breezy...and it wasn't Rusty. He doesn't ramble...

Breezy: wow. now i know how you feel when i ramble all over the place. my apologies
Breezy: hehe
Rusty: oic hahaha
Breezy: yeah. its funny..and exhausting!
Rusty: did you just respond with boobs?
Breezy: NO. thats your thing
Breezy: i see how it is...your eyes just glaze over and you think of boobs.
Rusty: how else do you think i get through it
Breezy: =/
Breezy: so if it were a face to face convo, that would be the part where you drift off and start staring at them right?
Rusty: maybe if they were hanging out

Payday was Friday. I looked at my pay stub and saw that I have 172 hours of vacation time racked up! ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO! It's racking up a lot faster now that I'm an associate, and I've been working for 8 years. I think I get an additional week a year when I hit 10 years of service.

So with all this time on my hands, I want to take a vacation..it doesn't have to be a long one..it can be a bunch of small ones. I definitely have enough time to take several small trips and still take a couple of weeks off in the fall and go to the Philippines. :)

Where should I go? What should I do? Who should I go with? Who wants to travel with me!? Lets go on a cruise! Where ever I go, I'm taking TONS of pictures and I'm bringing crafting supplies and making a mini-book of the trip. Get your smile on people!

Its a cold and windy day here in Southern California. I'm supposed to be working..doing a little overtime..and get stuff done. So far I'm not being so productive. I thought I'd stop by a for a bit and share a bit of Sunday Randoms.

Watching... Sex & the City Movie
Drinking... Homemade Chai Latte
Wearing... My super huge USC sweatshirt with my name and PE application # printed on the back, with some skinny jeans and argyle knee socks.
Feeling... Stressed. Boo to working on weekends. Yay to overtime pay.
Wanting... More time. I need more time!!!
Needing... A hug. I big bear man hug. The kind that makes me melt and completely erases all stresses and worries.
Thinking... About next month. I can't wait. :)

Computer Fail

Every morning I would wake my mac up and play a lil itunes while I get ready for the day. Last Friday however, Mr. Mac would not wake up. Sometime during the night he shut down. I turned him on and went about my morning while waiting for the start up to complete. I decided to let it run and headed to work. When I came home, Mr. Mac was still on the grey screen with the apple and the lil spinning wheel. Blah.

After force quitting and restarting multiple times, I pulled out my old ass laptop and started trouble shooting. Most of Saturday I went down the list of things to do and each time I got the grey screen. By the end of that evening I decided to make an appointment at the Genius Bar.

On Sunday I dragged my computer carrying brother to the Apple Store to get my computer looked at by a certified apple geek. Me being a dork had written down exactly what I had done. The genius looked at my list and said I did everything he would have done and said that it looks like I need a new hard drive. Also, he lectured me on not backing my stuff up. (I know. I'm bad. Don't worry. I've learned my lesson.) Luckily, he said my data is probably still on the HD, its just not accessible.

I left the store with a referral to a dude who can retrieve my data and install a new hard drive. Its going to cost me, but at least my pictures, music, files, etc are not completely lost...I hope.

I am so getting a bigger and better hard drive, and an external hard drive, and I'm going to back up my stuff everyday. Every. Single. Freakin. Day. Everyday.

Adventures of Rusty and Breezy: Randomness is Rusty

It's Thursday afternoon. Breezy is rambling (again) while Rusty is being Commodore Busy (again)...

Breezy: you're not exactly a ted mosby, but you're close
Breezy: and at least you're not a barney
Rusty: hahaha nice himym reference
Breezy: im kind of obsessed with that show. and i kind of rambled for a long ass time there. hehe

Breezy: or telling me that joke about the women with the two black eyes

Rusty: so i was kinda drunk last night
Rusty: and at the bar i saw a commercial for grass seed
Rusty: so i made a note to myself to buy some
Rusty: LOL
Breezy: wth? lol
Rusty: haha
Breezy: wow
Breezy: HAHAHAHA i really did laugh outloud
Rusty: how random is that
Breezy: very. lol
Rusty: i thought you'd appreciate that

And so it has happened.

This morning...sometime before 8:30 am. I am sitting in my office getting ready to start the work day. Outlook is open and loading my emails. I open my google reader and sign onto meebo. Windows explorer is open and I'm navigating through the ridiculous amount of folders to find the spreadsheets I need when my co-worker enters my office...

Her: *grinning* Why are you smirking?
Me: *high pitched* Me?? (inside my head I'm cringing, I don't know why I do that...clearly I am the only one in MY office so of course she would be talking to ME)
Her: yeah..why are you smiling back there? did you read something funny?
Me: no. I'm just looking at spreadsheets...and...
Her: uh-huh...do you have someone???? *laughs*
Me: no....what?...me? (there I go again..what's wrong with me?)
Her: ...so why are you smiling?
Me: what?..I..I..didn't know I was smiling....

And so it has happened. I've become one of those people who is just smiles for no reason. I've had my moments before, but lately it seems to be a constant. I've become one of those...genuinely happy for no reason people. I kind of like this happy person. I hope he likes this happy person too. <3
