They're getting married!
On Friday I received my invitation to THE wedding of the fall season. Yep yep. One of my bestest 'SC gal pals is gettin' hitched in November. I am absolutely crazy about the invitation. I opened it, read and looked at every inch of the invitation and the all the pieces, and put it back together and back into it's envelope at least a dozen times when I first got it. And I have been doing the same thing everyday since then.
It's crazy! I'm crazy! I am so excited!

I love the gym!
did that sound believable? I am trying to convice myself that I love the gym, that I can't live without it, that I am addicted...it's not working though...Although its been the 5th time I have gone in the past two weeks and I already see a little difference...but its very little and I only see it in the morning before I eat anything. I think its in my head. I want it to be instantaneous. Why can't it be instantaneous?
Why?
Why?

Mello Roos...Hello Booze!
This has been one crazy week...everynite I had a hard time sleeping...everyday I woke up thinking it was the following day, then realizing it wasn't and playing catch-up all day. When I woke up this morning, I thought it was Saturday...and then my alarm clock went off and I realized I needed to get up and get my ass to work.
Monday wasn't so bad, doing the work thing...had a staff meeting and realized, oh shit there is a lot of things that need to get done by Thursday (is it Friday yet!?). Everything that we have been doing since February was leading up to August 10th (Thursday). The last day to turn in special charges to the various counties to be placed on the FY06-07 Tax Roll...exciting huh? hee hee hee. I have a couple of projects I work on for that deadline. Unfortunately, most of what I work on does not follow the same August 10th deadline. I work on the Acquisition side of the Mello Roos Districts. That's me..the auditor...auditing developer invoices and payments to determine how much they should be reimbursed. The developers do not like not being able to get to their money...and believe you me they do think of it as their money. Anywho, instead of the big deadline, and have random spurts of mini-deadlines. On Monday not only did I share the August 10th deadline with my co-workers, but I also had an August 9th deadline for my acquisition work. I was also trying to get my butt to the gym after work, but didn't make it, so I did the stretching and the weights in my room.
Tuesday started out much better, I had completed some of my major tasks that needed to be done before Thursday, which was good. I still had that Wednesday deadline for one of my projects and was really in the zone and got a ton of stuff done...then at 4:30 I open an Excel file from one of my clients and my Excel file that I had been working on all afternoon closed, without saving. AHHHH! I lost 2 hours of work. My boss told me that I need to save things more often, we discussed my deadline, she said there were other things higher on the priority list and that it could wait, and told me to just go home. So I did, and I even made it to the gym. I stayed on the elliptical for half an hour and then spent another half hour on the bike. (yay me!) I even came home and I did the stretching and the weights in my room. I missed Rock Star: Supernova...argh.
Wednesday, one day before the major deadline. I had to nag one of my bossess about one of my other projects...I hate nagging people. Everyone was stressing about August 10th, it was all about the August 10th. I was glad that my Wedenesday deadline was pushed back, but then I thought it was a shame that I had wasted all of Tuesday trying to meet it when I could have been working on something else. And I had very little to show for it because of the computer malfunction. Anywho, by the end of the day we had submitted most of what needed to be submitted. I didn't make it to the gym, I fell asleep at 7pm, woke up to watch the last half of Supernova, did the streaching and the weights in my room, showered and then watched Project Runway (you kinda had to know that Bradley was going to go bye bye, what kind of outfit was that?! and why did he do pants when it's quite obvious from past shows that his pants construction isnt the best?)
Thursday was the day. Sending out the last of what needed to be submitted, tying up the loose ends, and now we are waiting to hear from the counties if our work has been accepted. I even made it to the gym and did some crunches at home...and watched Without a Trace (I don't know why I like that show so much).
Friday was more like Fried-day. It was very hard to concentrate. We had lunch at CPK with an old co-worker. Did a lot of gossiping...momentarily broke the printer...went home on time for a change. I watched Crash and read a little.
But, yay! At least its the weekend and I can relax and not think of work until Monday! Wahoo!
Ooh I can go shopping too! I have a $25 Harris-buck that I have been saving since last November. I should buy something good...or maybe something alcoholic...either way I must save the receipt.

It's my first time!
Today I particpated in the blood drive at work. It was my first time giving blood. I was terrified. I didn't know what to expect...but it all went smoothly and I got to eat Famous Amos Cookies (which I had been craving for sometime), a coupon for a free apetizer at Chili's, and a "It's My First Time!" button.
I was suprised that I didn't feel woosie or faint or anything. When I was leaving though, I bumped into a chair and bounced into the trash can. They were looking at me like maybe I should sit back down and relax a little longer...hee hee.. I told them that's just me and its pretty normal for me to be walking into things. I tend to ping pong my way across rooms. I wore my button back in the office. One of my bossess (who is normally grumpy when he had been traveling outside the office all day) saw the button and thought it was hilarious...and very unappropriate for the office. My sister and I were on our way home anyways so no biggie.

Yay! Cable's back!
For the past several weeks the cable modem has been very moody and tempermental (a lot like my mom..ha ha..j/k...a little..) Anywho, it was never working when I wanted to go on the internet. It would work for everyone else, but not me. I know its not my computer because the internet would work when other people were using my computer, so it HAS to be me! Anyways, for the internet had been on and off for several weeks, and then about a week ago it completely shut down...no internet...AHHH! I had to resort to my Sidekick, or wait until I got to work...soooo annoying!
Then..on Saturday, I was watching Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee (I LOVE THIS SHOW!)...She was just starting to make mini hamburgers when the cable went kaput! ARGH! So I called the cable company and they told me they could get someone out here on MONDAY! I spent the entire weekend with no internet and no TV...but I got a lot of cleaning done and watched some I Love Lucy and Sex and the City DVD's. I also rented Match Point. That movie was sooo not what I was expecting.
Yay! I'm back!
